About Jody:

I've always loved math and science. When I was a kid, I did logic puzzles for fun. 11 years ago I picked up my college hat again with the intention of becoming a high school math teacher. Things got a little crazy when I had my first child, so I put my education on hold. After that, I had 3 more children (the last 2 at one time!) and I've been busy. Now that they're all in school full time, I've decided to pick up where I left off. I'm currently attending college full time at John Wood community College in Quincy. Next year I'll be transferring to Western to work toward getting a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a teacher certification. I've debated heavily about math or science, because I enjoy them both so much. I'm currently brushing up my math skills in a college algebra course, and I'll be done with that the first week of December. I know a lot of kids have trouble with math, so I think that's where I can be the most helpful. Plus I think it's fun and cool! I'm in Quincy on Tuesday and Thursday for classes, so those are the best day for me to come there.
